HDD Temperature Pro – Monitor your HDD’s Temperature
I know that when I get hot I am all sweaty and uncomfortable and sometimes cranky. I am sure you do not like to be hot either. Hardware is not too different from us humans. When hardware components get too hot they get slower and they may even breakdown. Your computer’s hard disk for example could get hot and act up.
How do you know if this is the case? Why you do what I always do – turn to software applications for help and see if they can lend a helping hand. Luckily enough there is a software application that fits perfectly into the scenario presented above. The application I am talking about is the BinarySense’s HDD Temperature Pro.
Once downloaded and installed on your system, this application allows you to check out the current temperature of your HDD, as well as other details about it, like disk capacity, free space, and model. All this information is accessible from the application’s UI (user interface). You can access the UI by double clicking the HDD Temperature Pro icon from the system tray – the icon displays the HDD’s current temperature.
Should you decide to get HDD Temperature Pro, there are a few more technical bits and pieces you need to know. First of all, you need to know that the download weighs in at little over 2MB, so it shouldn’t take long to get the application off the web and onto your computer. To start using HDD Temperature Pro you must first install the app – this is a simple process that goes along smoothly; HDD Temperature Pro works with all Windows versions, including Windows 7. HDD Temperature Pro is not freeware, so you cannot use it free of charge for as long as you want. You can use it free of charge, but only during a trial period of 30 days.
HDD Temperature Pro is an easy to use, nice looking application that allows you to monitor your HDD’s temperature and thus potentially avoid an annoying data loss incident
